Along with the college students and legislators returning from summer break, we’ve come trudging back to the District for you, dear reader. Remember us? We come bearing good news–Drizly, an alcohol delivery app, has just arrived in DC and is ready to help you stock the bar for your next party. Here are a few of our favorite early fall libations, made with booze readily available on Drizly’s smartphone app. BYO ice and start mixing! (And just because we’ve left you for so long, enjoy $15 off your next order of $30 or more with code “NP15”).

NEGRONI • Put down the Aperol Spritz–August is over. We like a nice, cold Negroni for its complexity of flavor–kind of like the Manhattan’s Italian cousin. • 1 part Tanqueray No. 10, 1 part Campari, 1 part sweet vermouth. Stir or shake over ice and garnish with a lemon peel. COUPE: CB2 // COCKTAIL PICKS: Ralph Lauren // COCKTAIL SHAKER: Asprey

GINGER BEER MARGARITA • A light refresher for a balmy early-fall day. Mixing up a pitcher means you’re not running back and forth to the bar. • 10 oz Casa Noble Crystal tequila, three cans ginger beer, 1 tsp. agave nectar, juice of 3 limes. Combine ingredients in a pitcher and serve over ice. PITCHER: William Yeoward // TRAY: Mark & Graham // GLASSWARE: AERIN for Lenox

PHILADELPHIA FISH HOUSE PUNCH • Find a boozy use for your CSA stone fruit by throwing them in this crowd-pleasing punch. • 2 cups sliced peaches, 12 thyme sprigs, 1.25 cups simple syrup, 1 liter Appleton Estate Rum, 2 cups Cognac, 1.5 cups lemon juice, 1 cup peach liqueur. Arrange peaches and thyme sprigs along the bottom of Bundt pan. Fill pan with cold water and freeze to make an ice ring. Pour simple syrup into punch bowl. Add rum, Cognac, lemon juice, and peach liqueur. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours. Add 6 cups cold water to punch; stir gently to blend. Remove ice ring from Bundt pan and float, rounded side up, in punch. Ladle into glasses filled with ice. PUNCH BOWL: Lenox

FISHERS ISLAND LEMONADE • If you’re having early-onset seasonal-effective disorder, crack open a can of Fishers Island Lemonade. The preppy cocktail is a blend of vodka, whiskey, and lemonade made famous (and produced) by the Island’s Pequot Inn. While it’s not yet available in our area, we expect them to wash up on our shores soon.
